Coffee Gouda Toast with Honey & Almonds
A cosy café-style breakfast you can make at home in minutes. Toasted artisan bread topped with soft Coffee Gouda, honey, crunchy nuts and a pinch of sea salt — simple, indulgent and just right for slow mornings.

Ingredients
- 2 slices artisan bread or brioche
- 2 slices Coffee Gouda
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp crushed almonds or hazelnuts
- 1 pinch sea salt
Optional extras
- 2 slices fresh fruit (pear, apple or figs) on the side
- 1 tsp chia or flax seeds sprinkled on top
How to Make It
- Toast your bread or brioche slices until golden and crisp.
- While the toast is still warm, lay Coffee Gouda slices on top and let them soften slightly.
- Drizzle with honey, letting it catch around the edges of the cheese.
- Sprinkle over crushed almonds or hazelnuts and finish with a small pinch of sea salt.
- Serve immediately while the toast is warm and the Coffee Gouda is soft and aromatic.
Perfect pairings
- Flat white, cappuccino or oat latte.
- A cheeky affogato after brunch.
- Fresh berries or sliced fruit on the side if you want to brighten the plate.
If you have Coffee Gouda left over…
- Wrap remaining Coffee Gouda in baking paper, then place in an airtight container.
- Store in the fridge between +2°C and +6°C. Enjoy within 5–7 days once opened.
- Use leftover slices in grilled sandwiches, over roasted veggies, or grated into scrambled eggs.
- Cube and add to snack boxes or grazing boards to avoid waste.
