How sending a gift works
- Choose a box and add it to your cart.
- At checkout, enter their name and delivery address. A workplace with a reception is often easiest, because someone needs to be there to take in a chilled parcel.
- We cut, pack with ice packs and dispatch Monday to Thursday. Order before 1 pm for same-day dispatch. North Island delivery takes 24–48 hours and South Island 48–72 hours.
Every box is cheese only: individually sealed, labelled retail packs in our chilled shipping packaging with ice packs. Boards, crackers and styling in our photos are not included.
Christmas cheese gifts: common questions
When do I need to order for Christmas?
Our Christmas order-by dates will be added to this page soon. We dispatch Monday to Thursday, and couriers get busy in December, so the earlier you order, the safer.
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
$6 to the North Island and $12 to the South Island, per order. We dispatch Monday to Thursday, same day if you order before 1 pm. North Island delivery takes 24–48 hours and South Island 48–72 hours. Orders after 1 pm Thursday, or on Friday to Sunday, dispatch from Monday. Rural delivery may take longer.
Can I send it straight to someone else?
Yes. Enter their name and address as the delivery address at checkout. Cheese is perishable, and someone needs to be there to receive it, so a workplace is often the easiest address.
Can I add a gift message?
Not at the moment. If a message matters, a gift card lets you add one by email.
Does it come gift-wrapped?
It arrives in our chilled shipping packaging with ice packs, so the cheese stays cold. Inside, each cheese is an individually sealed, labelled pack.
Is it a cheese hamper?
Our boxes are cheese only, so they suit people who already have the crackers. To build a full hamper yourself, see our cheese gifting ideas.
How long will the cheese keep?
Keep it refrigerated at 1–5 °C. Every pack has its best-before date printed on it.
What about allergens?
Every box contains milk. Boxes with Green Pesto Gouda contain pine nuts: the Trio, Flavour Adventure and the Ultimate box. The Ultimate box also contains Walnut Gouda (walnuts). Tricolore Gouda, in the Trio and the Ultimate box, is made with cow's and goat's milk. Each product page lists full ingredients. For Build Your Own, check each cheese you choose.
It's too late for delivery. What can I do?
Send a gift card. It goes by email, so it still works on Christmas Day.
